SO unless people are taught to find their I386 files and windows prodection files to build a cd from they really don't have a way to get to the recovery console. My the download from Microsoft that creates bootable disks would work? -- Student of the eternal learning process of Windows.

The recovery console is in c:\cmdcons it is part of windows. Recovery partitions is by the computer manufacturer, it has nothing to do with Windows. Windows hasn't even started yet.
